You do not need four wheel drive to access the property. There is free parking near the cabin. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park. The city of Estes Park runs a shuttle bus during the summer and there is a pick up spot within walking distance from the cabins. The roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you! We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash. Do not feed the wildlife! It is illegal to feed any wildlife in Colorado and you could get a fine. This includes deer, elk, birds, bears and rodents! Thank you!
